Megan Concannon of Nibbana Foods joins Creative Cultures!

Megan Concannon, Creative Culture’s newest addition

Hello! I want to take a second to introduce myself! My name is Megan, and I am a semi new part of the Creative Cultures team. I am so excited to be a part of this loving, healing team and happy to be able to share cultured, probiotic and truly nourishing food and drinks with the world! I am a personal chef, fermentation lover, and healed myself with food and lifestyle changes. More on that in another post…

This coming weekend, I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending the Weston A. Price Foundation annual conference in Santa Clara CA. What is Weston A. Price you may ask? WAPF is a foundation that was co-founded by Sally Fallon (Morrel) and based on the works by dentist Weston A Price. Dr. Price’s book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration was written after studying cultures in the 1930’s that had been immune from modern processed foods and noticing that their dental health was much better than we were experiencing close to home. He also noticed that the good dental health they had seemed to correlate with better health overall, and less likelihood of modern diseases that are plaguing the United States.

The WAPF was my gateway into the world of fermented foods and beverages, and the wisdom I gained from the foundation helped me begin to heal myself. Creative Cultures Beet Kvass and Pollen Up are both beverages that would fit into the WAPF lifestyle. Beet Kvass is seen as a very powerful, restorative tonic! Creative Cultures Beet Kvass Recipe

This weekend, I get to fully nerd out with nutrition information, lectures about health and wellness galore, and delicious, nourishing food for the entirety of the time. It is so exciting to be in a room full of like-minded people, and I cannot wait to feel that good energy for a whole weekend! Our beet kvass will sure come in handy to keep me feeling rejuvenated!

There are so many amazing lectures to choose from, I began to feel unsure of which ones I will pick for each time slot! Then I realized that I can order a dvd of the lectures, so that I will not need to feel like I am missing out on any of the action!

Watch the blog next week, I might be posting some fabulous new information I will be learning this week! I am also planning on posting a Tuesday morning fermentation series coming soon!

Anyone going to the WAPF conference this year in Santa Clara? Let me know in the comments, I would love to meet you there! I also might have some beet kvass to sample….. so make sure to reply so we can meet up! If you have any questions about nutrition, fermentation, or Creative Cultures probiotic drinks feel free to email me at or leave a message on the Contact Us page of our website!

Lastly, if you are in CA, vote YES on prop 37 Today!! It will help create transparency in the food industry and we will be able to chose what we are putting into our bodies!

Hi! I'm a mother, teacher, and natural chef, and founder of Creative Cultures, a probiotic & detox beverage company that I was inspired to start after I helped heal my husband from two serious diseases deemed incurable by medical doctors. The community of microbes in our gut are so vital to our health and happiness that I've made it my mission to foster a diverse and healthy community within our own bodies, into each and every body!

  1. hi. I sent you a contact form earlier. Happy to discover a colleague in Santa Cruz. I’ll be there. A bunch of us who post on the WAPF south bay yahoo group are having lunch together on Friday at the conference. We are gathering by the ticket takers at the entrance to the eating hall. Most of us are wearing some kind of green shirt so we can find each other. Love to have you join us. Creative Cultures have a booth ??
